One sunny afternoon here in southern California during the 1980’s I was cruising on the freeway in my sports car on my way to a meeting jamming my music and being careful not to get any food on my brand new Fila sweatsuit as I seldom do, but not today because I have an important meeting to attend and I wanted to remain fresh.. I did in fact achieve not getting messy, however upon closer examination of my outfit I saw three freshly burned weedseed holes in my clothes! Boy was I super pissed off
You see during that time I smoked pot recreationally, especially at very affluent parties. It was somewhat of the norm. Back in those days you would have a seed or two in you batch. Most parents didn’t know, but if they were to check their kids clothing for weedseed hole they would in fact know which kid of theirs smoked pot. Nevertheless I was pissed and i remembered that my mother said no matter how bad a situation may appear to be, you can always find something good in it. So I was like what good could I possibly get out of ruining my new outfit,so I began to brainstorm to put this theory to the test because like I said, I was truly pissed.”BING” WeedSeed clothing was born, even though it didn’t fully manifest intil decades later. This should be motivation for those who have great ideas that they never acted upon yet. Its never to late.. We are currently working on a new line that will pay homage to that unique day which sparked a great epiphany..
